Vittoria Iacovella is an author and TV reporter. After the publication of her first book for young adult, Islam da vicino (2005, G. D’anna edizioni), she moved for some months to Damascus, in Syria, to improve her knowledge of the Arabic language. She worked as press office for Greenpeace, then she dedicated herself to the job of the reporter. She has been working for some of the most important Italian newspapers and tv channels (La Repubblica, La7, Rai News). As reporter, she won the prestigious Italian Prize Ilaria Alpi.
Her last book, “The troublemakers” (“I rompiscatole. Storie di giovani eroi senza mantello”, Age 11 +, Risfoglia 2019) is a touching journey that tells about ten stories of children, from different countries all around the world, who have done something extraordinary: the troublemakers come from China, Afghanistan, Italy, Mexico, Germany, USA, Holland, France and Syria; thanks to their strenght and courage, they managed to make the world a better place.
